Yuchai has entered mass production with its electric models, marking a significant step forward in its development of new energy compact equipment. These machines provide efficient and eco‑friendly solutions for a wide range of applications, including indoor operations, ports and terminals, agricultural and forestry sites, large‑scale logistics, metallurgical plants, and emergency response.

Yuchai developed China's first electric excavator in 2016, yet it never went into mass production due to its battery life of only three hours. In 2022, the company launched China’s first all-electric compact skid-steer loader.
By 2025, Yuchai's R&D efforts culminated in a full lineup of electric products now in mass production, including the Z25 wheel loader, S35, S90, and S150 skid steer loaders, Y20E and Y60E excavators, and the D170 remote-controlled demolition robot.

Yuchai's key innovations feature the world’s first application of a battery thermal management system in compact construction equipment. As an original equipment manufacturer, we have improved efficiency by more than 50% and extended operating endurance by over 30% compared with conventional models, enabling up to 11 hours of continuous operation.
At present, Yuchai’s compact electric machinery has been exported to more than 30 countries and regions, including Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, the United States, Canada and Australia.
