Yuchai Heavy Industry achieves another milestone as its new energy product receives UN38.3 certification

Recently, Yuchai Heavy Industry's independently developed Z25 electric wheeled loader successfully obtained the UN38.3 certification from a domestic authoritative institution. This achievement not only signifies another new energy product from Yuchai Heavy Industry meeting such standards but also means that the Z25 electric wheeled loader has acquired an international transportation permit.

The UN38.3 certification is crucial for ensuring the safety of batteries during transportation by sea, land, or air. When the battery is integrated into an exported machine, the entire unit needs to undergo UN38.3 certification. Only after obtaining the relevant testing reports and transport certificates can the product be exported with compliance.

The Z25 electric wheeled loader, a new product developed by Yuchai Heavy Industry in 2023, had Tan Jun, a senior technical director at the Engineering Machinery Research Institute, as the project manager. The prototype verification was successfully completed in October, just in time for its showcase at the 134th China Import and Export Fair in Guangzhou. The Z25 garnered attention and praise from both domestic and international traders at the fair, thanks to its striking design and excellent handling performance. Visitors not only observed closely but also delved into understanding the product's specifications, with some even getting hands-on experience operating the machine. The positive response resulted in immediate interest and, in some cases, on-the-spot orders for the new product.

The Z25 electric wheeled loader not only fills the vacancy in Yuchai Heavy Industry's lineup of small loaders but also extends its recent focus on developing new energy products. It stands as a new addition to Yuchai Heavy Industry's compact equipment family. Judging by the positive response during and after the Canton Fair, this product holds the potential to become a key driver of economic growth for Yuchai Heavy Industry in 2024.
