C. Yuchai: Vehicle-grade Battery Standards, Setting a New Benchmark for Safety and Durability of Compact Electric Equipmentwww.yuchaicm.com  )

Guangxi Yuchai Equipment Technology Co., Ltd. has been deeply engaged in the small and medium-sized construction machinery field for 37 years, being a national high-tech enterprise with more than 400 national patents. Its leading products have passed the EU CE certification and are exported to more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. As China's first manufacturer of micro-excavators, Yuchai relies on the world's pioneering wheel-side electric drive technology and self-developed Battery Management System (BMS), redefining the performance standards of compact electric equipment with vehicle-grade lithium iron phosphate batteries.

All series of Yuchai's compact electric equipment adopt vehicle-grade lithium iron phosphate batteries, supporting a dual-voltage system of household 220V and industrial 380V. Combined with double overcharge protection (at charging pile end + on-board BMS end), the battery automatically stops charging when fully charged, achieving industry-leading safety. Compared with ordinary industrial batteries, it has higher thermal stability and safety redundancy, as well as an ultra-long cycle life with more than 3,000 charge-discharge cycles. Calculated on the basis of one complete charge-discharge cycle per day, the service life is about 8-10 years. In addition, the anti-attenuation design is a major highlight: the capacity retention rate of Yuchai's electric equipment remains above 80% after 8 years of use, ensuring stable endurance of the equipment throughout its whole life cycle.

Taking the Yuchai Y120E electric excavator as an example, the overall width of the machine is only 1080mm, allowing it to easily pass through elevators and narrow doors, with noise lower than 75 decibels. Equipped with a fast charging system, it can be recharged to meet the afternoon operation needs with just 1 hour of charging during the lunch break. The 33.38kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, combined with an intelligent BMS thermal management system, can stably support 6-8 hours of continuous operation.

II. Charging Technology for Compact Electric Equipment: A Recharging System with Both Breakthroughs and Bottlenecks

The maturity of charging technology directly determines the operational continuity of electric compact excavators. At present, the industry has formed a diversified recharging solution of "slow charging + fast charging". The upgrade of high-voltage platforms and the improvement of infrastructure supporting are the core breakthrough directions, while unbalanced regional development remains the main restrictive factor.

1. Current Mainstream Charging Technologies and Performance

Based on the characteristics of miniaturization and lightweight, the charging solutions for electric compact equipment mainly include AC slow charging, DC fast charging and dual working modes. AC slow charging is suitable for night maintenance scenarios, enabling a full charge within 8 hours; DC fast charging focuses on daytime recharging, with the 800V high-voltage platform technology realizing a full charge in 1.5 hours, and some high-end models can meet the demand of "15 minutes of fast charging supporting 8 hours of operation"; the dual working mode solves the endurance limitation of fixed-site operation through the switching between battery power and wired power.

AC slow charging is mainly applicable to night shutdown maintenance scenarios, while DC fast charging focuses on rapid daytime recharging. At present, the 800V high-voltage platform combined with 4C charging rate technology has achieved major breakthroughs. Models such as Sany SY19E, Liugong 9017FE and Yuchai's electric equipment all support full DC fast charging in 1.5 hours.
